Sep. 4th, 2009 08:48 amFound a wallet on the sidewalk this morning while walking to work. No ID or credit cards, just $50 in cash and a beat up business card for an IT consultancy in Toronto with an apartment rental agency's phone number written on the back.
I don't feel right about keeping it, but what are the chances I can reconnect this with it's rightful owner (and without a lot of hassle?)
ETA: I created a dummy email to contact the guy on the biz card. Funny/scary how much you can learn from the internet: I know this guy's work history from his linkedin profile, know where he went to school and what his degree is in, and reverse lookuped the phone number on the back to get a woman with the same last name who's renting apartments to students in the area.
So, it's probably a student wallet. (I can't shake the feeling that it's a psych experiment and there were three phds watching me out the nearby apartment window with binocs...)
