I'm a little teared up about this
Oct. 11th, 2005 01:26 pmThe Bodum coffee press I've been using daily to make my coffee for the last 7 years or so just gave up the ghost. There had been a little tiny crack in the spout for about a year...ms.'v tried to declare it dangerous but I always insisted it was a "flavour crack". I knew it wasn't going to last forever, since my wife had owned it since her first uni round and we figured it was at least 17 years old.
She just called me at work to say that as she was pulling the press out this morning there was a skreeeeeek and she watched the spout crack spread slooooooooowly down to the bottom of the pitcher, and then the whole thing just sort of quietly fell apart on the counter. It might have been a lot more messy but for the two metal rings at top and bottom that hold the handle.
So, I wonder what's new on the coffee press technology front?
