FIL decided to scoop up the kids for an overnight stay, which means last night was the first night since Sequel hatched that we've had any house entirely to ourselves overnight.  A bit weird to say the least; apparently two small girls still make a lot of noise in their sleep and the background was definitely absent.

We took in Taking Woodstock at the local indie theatre, which was...okay.  One of these films that I can't help but think did not live up to its potential, and also several scenes seem to have been set up mainly for their appearance in the trailer.  Still, it's sweet and fluffy and feel-good if that's what you're in the mood for.   (The other choice was Adam, which seemed a mite too chicky-flicky for my tastes.)

Off to rent father-daughter cellos tonight for next week's first lesson.

Also:  I am currently reading Newjack, about Ted Conover's one year stint as a Corrections Officer at Sing Sing prison in NY; I recommend it highly.  (found through the Agency of a Moth podcast).
