Apr. 1st, 2009 12:11 amIt has occurred many, many times in my professional career, as I expect it has for most of us: one gathers data, makes a decision, and then...some time later finds out whether the decision was the right one; there's this pass-fail moment, the "okay, phew, that worked, on to the next thing."
The twist today was that I was sitting in a rowboat shaking a glass jar. "Fuck, still purple. Didn't work. Let's go to shore and start making phone calls."
And the weirdest thing is, I thought about it for most of a 2 hour drive home and can't imagine what else I'd be doing instead of this.
