iTunes Question
Jun. 5th, 2008 01:35 pmI don't have an iPod and rarely use iTunes, but occasionally get it into my head to buy some certain piece of music and don't want to go to a bricks-and-mortar store (gotta put on pants and all that). So I'll buy stuff and burn them as CDs, and then maybe re-rip the MP3s if I want MP3s even though this is a bit lossy (and I know about the Hymn project but the last time I tried it, didn't work).
This past weekend I got a wild hair to buy 5 or so discs worth of tunes, and burned the first two quite successfully. Subsequent ones I get an error telling me I don't have burning rights.
Now, in truth I have neither checked back on the itunes site nor elsewhere, but maybe a bored flister can clue me in quickly and save a bit of effort: is there a class of track for purchase on Itunes that allows local (and presumably Ipod) usage but no burninating?
I'll be over here carving grooves in this giant slab of rock.
thanks
