luggage and professionalism
Jan. 3rd, 2007 10:55 amLaptops issued in the office did not come with cases. I've been carrying mine around in my ~20year old MEC backpack, just like I did in my last job. I've had it in mind to replace the ratty pack for maybe 5 years, but hey, it ain't broke, so why spend the money?
Anyway. Office manager acquired a wild hair about laptops getting banged around in unapproved conveyances and requested that we purchase some appropriate gear. I went more or less immediately to backpack style bags since I walk and cycle a lot, but my immediate colleague expressed some hesitation, suggesting that showing up at client sites with a backpack may not be entiiiiiiiiirely kosher.
It's still the best choice for me but I'm wondering what the assembled Flisters think of this.
p.s. i'ma get this one in black and grey. A sop towards conservatism, at least.
