Obviously, with looking to put the house on the market in the next few weeks, it is incumbent upon us to work through our stores of food and prevent having to move with, say, a 1/2 gallon jar of fish sauce or a dozen beef roasts from the freezer.
However, yesterday morning ms.'v found a package of nori (seaweed sheets used in making sushi roll) and decided that it needed using.
4 hours later, the kitchen looked like a trailer-park after the tornado, both kids were covered in sticky rice, and we chowed down on a large platter of California Roll maki complete with wasabi and little dishes of soy sauce.
(Now, if it were me, I would have either packed the nori away (arguably somewhat easier than a 5# beef roast since you can fit the stuff in an airmail envelope) or tossed it, but hey, I'm not complaining.... Urp.)
