(Although it has been interesting to look at the electoral vote spreads historically... this certainly is a strong mandate for the Dems but nowhere near some past presidential ROUTS. Then again, that's not considering congress, the relative polarization of each party, etc.)
At minimum this seems like a (well deserved IMNSHO) repudiation of Bush &c.
Our press talks about bracing for a wave of Democrat protectionism affecting our markets. I don't see it, myself -- things are far to integrated, if the xenophobia of the post 9/11 era didn't do it to us...
Now to wait and see what happens to Al Franken in Minnesota.
