It took me about 13 hours hotel-to-home getting back from Ohio. I got a lot of reading done but that's a lot of time just sitting on my duff waiting for various vehicles to show up. I walked several laps of various airports but there are so many gawping dunderheads walking smack-in-centre of any given aisle that it may have harmed my blood pressure more than it helped.

Took friday off to recover and recharge, which translated into sleeping in till 8 am! Then we loaded up the car and drove to Ottawa so Ms.'v could attend a parenting seminar. Two kids in a cheap motel room might have equalled no fun at all but it actually worked out fairly well. I think the novelty of the experience really carried the day for Sprout, and I was absolutely gobsmacked at how well she carried herself in restaurants. (Sidebar frustration / benefit: she's abandoned any pretense of maintaining toilet training so "at least we didn't need to" worry about getting off the road to support her requests...diapers all the way, baby. Let's hope she changes her mind about this before she grows out of the jumbo size sevens!)
